THERAPY

To help residents achieve their highest functional level, our team of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists develop individual therapy regimens which may include:

• Balance, stairs and gait training
• Modalities for wound care
• Complete physical strengthening
• Endurance/energy conservation training
• Relearning/adapting daily personal care
• Meal Planning and preparation
• Cognitive functioning and memory aides
• Speech and communications
• Swallowing and eating
• Home safety assessments
• Therapists work in cooperation with our nursing staff to achieve your personal goals and are a vital part of our healthcare team.
• Other Therapy Modalities include
• Diathermy= electromagnetic radiation that is a deep heating modality and decreases swelling and pain it is used for acute injury as well as osteoarthritis
• Electrical Stimulation = aids in circulation
• Bone Stimulation = aids in bone healing
• Ultra sound = aids in identifying acute pain and inflammation, increased circulation and muscle tone reduction
• TENS = aids in pain control
• Iontophoresis = transdermal administration of ionic solutions
• OmniCycle = aids in upper extremity strengthening and bio feedback with spasticity detection

SOCIAL SERVICES

• Assistance with community resources when returning to community
• Assistance with financial aid

NURSING

Under the Direction of your personal physician, an expert panel of diversified physicians, respiratory therapists, and an experienced team of nurses and certified nursing assistants work to meet your medical and personal care needs. 
This includes:

• Coordinating and Care planning involving every dimension of care
• Monitoring vital signs and health status
• Monitoring weight and nutritional intake
• Medication and pain management
• Assistance with bathing and other activities of daily living
• Wound care and dressing changes
• IV and feeding tube administration
• Administration of oxygen as needed
• Tracheotomy care

ANCILLARY SERVICES

Most facilities will charge you extra for ancillary services.  These fees can be substantial.  At Crestwood, ancillary services are included in our daily rate:

• Routine medical supplies
• Personal hygiene supplies
• Personal Laundry
• Medical transportation
• Electric Beds

OTHER SERVICES

(Provided at an additional cost)

• Beauty and barber shop
• Oxygen and mobile x-ray
• Pharmacy and non-routine medical supplies
• Podiatry and dental services
• Dining Services
  Dining is provided by qualified staff members who are under the instruction of a certified Food Service Supervisor and a Registered Dietitian.  Special attention is paid to each resident’s personal preferences.  Each resident is asked their personal likes and dislikes and the dietary staff work diligently to ensure this is followed.  Meals are homemade and residents have the opportunity to express what they like to see on the menu.
